Llanfair Retirement Community recently welcomed a celebrated chef on our campus.

Chef Warman and his children in our kitchen

Chef Henry Warman visited Tuesday, Dec. 18. Chef Warman is the award-winning executive chef at the Savannah Center in nearby West Chester.

He's also father to our Dietetic Technician Courtney Papke and Mateo Warman, who works in Llanfair's Terrace kitchen.

Chef Warman began his training in Italy, continued his education at the Culinary Institute of America, studied abroad by joining several cruise lines and ended up in Cincinnati in 1982.

We welcomed Chef Warman into our Culinary and Nutrition department kitchen where he prepared the evening meal for all of our residents.

The extra-special menu included Sweet Potato and Leek Soup, Beef Wellington, Crab Cakes with Garlic Lemon Sauce, Braised Carrots & Fennel, Parmesan Polenta and Vanilla Bean Creme Brule Chocolate Nougat Cake.
